LDS Church sends email to the Young Women of the Church

On Tuesday, April 14, the LDS Church sent out an email to members subscribed to their newsletter. The email was address to the Young Women of the church. Here's what it said.

Dear Young Women:

It is hard to find words to describe how we feel about our new call to serve as the Young Women General Presidency. The most thrilling part is that we get to serve with you—the incredible young women of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are remarkable! We love you and can testify of the love our Father in Heaven, and His Son, Jesus Christ, have for each one of you; we have felt it.

As we listened to general conference, we heard so many words that describe you: capable, valued, needed, strong, faithful, devoted, caring, happy, and kind! Your talents and spiritual gifts are needed now as we accept our prophet's invitation to minister.

In her talk, Sister Jean B. Bingham shared a list of simple acts of service and love; it is a great place to start. Try some of these with your family, ward members, and friends:

  • Smile at them
  • Talk with them
  • Walk with them
  • Listen to them
  • Make time for them
  • Encourage them
  • Teach them
  • Feed them
  • Forgive them

Young women, you can be a light to the world (see 3 Nephi 18:24). We are excited to join you in following our prophet. And when you see us, we hope you will share what you are doing to minister!

Sincerely Yours,

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
