Great Resource for LDS Parents // Uplift Families YouTube Channel & Website

The First Lady of Utah, Jeanette Herbert, was an early childhood educator for more than 20 years. Because of her passion for helping children and families, Mrs. Herbert founded Uplift Families, a nonprofit foundation that provides tools and resources to strengthen families.

The 3-fold purpose of “Uplift Families” is to
1. strengthen parent-child relationships
2. provide tools and resources that improve parenting skills
3. help children make safe and healthy choices

Sounds good, right? I need all of those things.  I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of this initiative. Obviously, I love families and children (or would I be writing this blog?) and need all the help I can get as a parent!  I attended a luncheon with the First Lady and was so impressed with her vision and the remarkable work she has put into this important initiative.

Uplift Families has some great resources for Utah families.  Here are the amazing programs you can take advantage of...

This channel has videos covering improving dinnertime, protecting kids from pornography, managing family finances, and everything in between.  They are adding new videos all the time and I love being able to easily watch something that is helpful and meaningful when I have a few minutes to spare.

I can't say enough about this website! I only wish I had known about it before. Besides having a lot of amazing articles I was especially impressed with the Parenting Resources page.  Let me show you how great it is.

A Year of FHE // Check out this amazing resource for parents! We ALL need help and information to assist us in raisning happy and healthy kids. This website and YouTube channel are filled with parenting resources and information to help you out! #familiesareforever #parenting

I have a 9-year-old daughter who experienced bullying this past school year.  There is a drop-down menu where I can find resources for her easily. Choose the age range...

Then I chose the issue I needed help with, which was Bullying (but look at the wide range of topics in that menu!)

And finally a list of resources I can choose from pops up.  When I chose one I was instantly redirected to a site where I could find local legal help, support groups, and community-specific helps! What an incredible opportunity for parents to get help, support, and information to arm themselves for this tough job we have!

You must check out the website. You will love it!

What a great resource! I bought tickets for the conference. We'll have to keep an eye out for each other.
