8 Days Until Easter | Countdown for Kids

You may remember me sharing that I am a part of a special LDS Easter celebration with other bloggers!  This project is one I cam up with specifically for this challenge and I hope to make it a new family tradition each year leading up to Easter.  Make sure to scroll to the bottom of this post to find the Easter projects from all of the other LDS bloggers participating. There is a great selection and I know you'll find great activities for a Christ-centered Easter with your family!

Your family can prepare for Easter by learning about what happened during the week before Jesus Christ’s Crucifixion and Resurrection.

Starting eight days before Easter (this year, 2016, your start date would be Saturday, March 19th), read the events and scripture verses listed for each day together as a family.  Then have children color the picture.

This is an easy and fun way to learn about the last days of Jesus' life before his death and Resurrection!

Please share photos of your family doing these activities using the hashtag #aYEARofFHE and #MyForeverFamily.  To see all of the other Easter activities, lessons, and freebies CLICK HERE!

I know I'm a year late, but thank you so much for this!! I have been searching for something to make Easter more meaningful for our young family, and this is exactly what I was hoping to find.
