Welcome Back! I just wanted to let you know how much I have appreciated your example. For many reasons, FHE always seemed too big of a mountain for me to climb. But your lessons are simple, flexible, and most important to me, organized.Suzanne...last night as I should have been in bed and I was quickly preparing this lesson I was so discouraged. Since the computer breaking I wondered if anyone was even reading this blog anymore and if my planning was in vain. Your comment reminded me that I can make a difference with my brothers and sisters in the gospel by utilizing my talents to help others have more regular Family Home Evenings...something I really believe is important.
Since committing at the beginning of this year to doing regular FHE with your blog, I've noticed great improvement in communication skills and knowledge of the gospel in my kids. I have overcome my fears of the unknown that have kept me from doing FHE on my own. When your computer died, I panicked a bit. That was another growth period for me as I tried to apply what you had been showing me during the first half of the year to develop our own FHEs.
I just taught a monthly RS Mtg on FHE last week and cited your blog as a great resource on how to get started and to plan out a year of topics and lessons. I am truly grateful to you for sharing your gifts with me. All the best to you and your family.
Thank you a million times for taking the time to write and let me know that my work is helping you. It truly means so much to me.
